Fail Fast as a local partner of ADCE Creative Week

Fail Fast joins the global AI Creative Challenge in Barcelona
At Fail Fast, we believe in actively participating in the European creative community and supporting spaces that foster new ideas, connections and ways of creating. That’s why we’re especially excited to sponsor ADCE Creative Week, taking place in Barcelona from 17 to 20 November.
Organised by the Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE), the festival will bring together more than 500 creative professionals from across Europe at DHub Barcelona for four days dedicated to sharing ideas, discovering talent and celebrating creativity.
The ADCE Creative Week programme includes a range of activities:
- Creative Leaders Summit: A space for creative leaders and executives to share perspectives on leadership, collaboration and the challenges facing the industry.
- Portfolio Review: An opportunity for students and emerging professionals to receive feedback from creative leaders and recruiters.
- ADCE Awards Jury – Final Round: A chance to observe the jury’s final deliberations and gain insight into how the awards are decided.
- ADCE Student Awards Gala: A celebration of the talent and projects of the next generation of European creatives.
- ADCE Awards Gala: The ceremony recognising Europe’s outstanding creative work.
- Creative Express: A collaborative initiative bringing together young talents from different countries to work on a creative challenge.
Fail Fast supports the AI Creative Challenge in Barcelona (and joins the jury)
As part of ADCE Creative Week, Barcelona will host the AI Creative Challenge, a global competition that puts creativity and generative AI skills to the test through live challenges.
As the local partner for the AI Creative Challenge in Barcelona, we’re proud to support this initiative and help the creative community explore the possibilities that emerge from the combination of creativity and new technologies.
And that’s not all! The Barcelona jury will include two members of the Fail Fast team: Ian Gehlhaar Prat, CEO, Creative & Experience Design Director, and Aleix Gómez, Principal Agentic Designer. They’ll be assessing the participants’ execution, prompt skills and speed.
The Good Designer Talk, a look at the future of design
As part of our involvement in the event, Fail Fast is hosting a pre-event session for the creative community. On November 5 at 7 PM, Ian Gehlhaar Prat will present The Good Designer at Soho House Barcelona.
Drawing on five months of conversations with European design leaders, Ian will explore two key questions: What made a good designer before AI? What will it take to be a good designer after AI? A conversation about how artificial intelligence is transforming the design profession and the changes that invite us to rethink our role as designers.
The session is part of The Good Designer, an ongoing research project exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming different design disciplines. An opportunity to challenge established ideas and start rethinking what it means to be a good designer in this new era.
128 creatives. 16 cities. One global challenge.
Created by The One Club for Creativity, with support from Google, the AI Creative Challenge will bring together 128 AI experts and creative professionals across 16 cities worldwide. The Barcelona challenge will take place on 19 November at 7:00 pm at DHub Barcelona, as part of ADCE Creative Week.
The format is simple: eight participants will compete in elimination rounds, with just 10 minutes to solve a surprise creative brief using generative AI tools. Participants can choose which AI tools to use, with Gemini playing a central role in the experience.
The brief will be revealed when the clock starts, so participants will have to come up with ideas and create their work against the clock. The jury will judge their speed, use of prompts and creative execution. After several rounds, one winner will be chosen in Barcelona and qualify for the Grand Finale in New York on February 18, 2027, where they will compete for the title of first AI Creative Challenge World Champion.
Will you join the challenge?
The AI Creative Challenge is free for both participants and the public, subject to prior registration. If you’d like to put your skills to test and take part, you can register to compete. If you’d rather experience the challenge as a member of the audience, you can also book your place to attend in person.
